I will say this was one of the best food experiences! There were only 2 men working and they were amazing, tending to our needs even when we kept asking for things. We shared the sampler and it came out in less than 15 minutes. Quick and on the ball. This is the spot for that good hometown feel. The okra had a good batter and was fried very well. All of the meat was juicy and made you say mmm. The mac and cheese definitely needed some salt to break up the creaminess. But as far as that goes I put salt and pepper in it and it turned out perfect. Also you can NOT beat the amazing view!! It is a bummer that most the traffic passes right pass this delicious restaurant.

Our first time here. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Plenty of leftovers . Friendly service and clean place. Convenient location right off the freeway. We ate outside under the trees . We would go back for sure !

This place is a diner with the smoker right outside. The place is clean but a little rundown. They should provide better serving utensils and plates. The chicken was a bit dry but the ribeye and brisket were nicely done. Glad we stopped by and supported them. Hopefully they will renovate their facilities

The Texas-style meats smoked here are about as good as they get in North San Diego County, right up there with Smokin J's in Poway. The pulled pork and brisket were lean, tender, and delicious. The sandwiches are served with no BBQ sauce on them which I prefer, but two sauces are on the side -- one sweeter and one smokier. The brioche buns are very soft and tasty, and hold up well while munching down. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy with nicely balanced flavors, and the fries were pretty good except that they could have used another minute in the fryer. I'd ask for them lightly well done next time. No free water is available and I don't understand why. There are only six tables inside, but plenty outside. One pet peeve is that like many quick-serve restaurants, the tip screen starts at 15%. Just for taking an order and bringing it out or yelling your name? They should start at 10%, which is more than this level of service deserves, especially given the elevated prices. It would be better than the NO TIP option which I select rather than hassling with a custom tip entry while the order taker stares at you with a long, sad face. If Yelp allowed decimals, I'd give it a 4.5, taking off a bit for the lack of water, partially soggy fries, no restrooms, and attempted tip extortion.

The Ribshack Que's "Rub, smoked and perfected" catchphrase only scratches the surface on how flavorful and robust the barbeque tastes at this cozy, convenient pit stop off of Old Highway 395. The tender, succulent brisket, ribs, pulled pork and even the chicken fingers are crafted on the premises, along with the signature barbeque sauce. When paired with the smokey rich Cowboy beans, you'll enjoy one heck of a delicious, satisfying, blowout of a Texas style feast.

Love this hidden gem. We found it on the way home when I saw how long traffic was to get home. I love bbq and this place was fantastic. I got the ribs and they fell off the bone. I also got the brisket and it literally melted as I was getting it. I love the 2 different bbq sauces. I couldnt decide which one I liked better so I just mixed them. So it was sweet and tangy. Highly recommend! Portions are great!
